Regional Lead Digital Time Banking

The three Connect platforms in West Wales bring communities and individuals together to offer help to, or request help from, their neighbours and the wider community.

This work has been commissioned by the West Wales Care Partnership through the ‘Healthier West Wales’ transformation programme and is being delivered through a collective of public and voluntary sector organisations across Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.

The aim of these three platforms is to make primary care more sustainable by providing alternative social models of support and self-management. Members of each free platform can exchange their time and skills online, find community groups and events (and post their own) and also join or start project teams.

This platform helps people to adopt healthy behaviours such as physical activity, social connectedness and emotional wellbeing by using a personalised and holistic approach to self-care. People can help each other with their day-to-day problems by exchanging skills for time credits, among other things.
